It’s the 30th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog coming up soon! For that momentous occasion, SEGA and the official Sonic the Hedgehog channels on YouTube and Twitch are celebrating. On May 27th a “Sonic Central” streaming event is taking place. You’ll get a first look at a wide range of Sonic related plans. It takes place at 9:00am PT.

While we don’t have any official teases of what’s to come, you can guess that there’ll likely be some new Sonic games and other media announced. Sonic has been on a hell of a run, and here’s to hoping we get another great 30 years out of the blue Hedgehog.
