We’ve got Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania coming next week, but don’t forget about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 coming in May. We haven’t had much news or information about the film, until now. Fortunately for all of us, Marvel has released the official synopsis for the film.
Our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere, but it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past, Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life – a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
So what exactly is putting Rocket’s life in danger? We don’t know. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special didn’t give us many answers besides where the Guardians are at. James Gunn might be busy setting up the future of DC, but he did have some insight into what that special did for audiences. It helped set up their location, Knowhere. It also showed off Cosmo, a new character. Finally, we got a look at some of the team members in new roles like Nebula being somewhat of a leader of the team now.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens in theaters on May 5th, 2023.
