Kein Feige has now taken over the role of overseeing Marvel Television. Following this news, one of their two young adult live-action TV shows isn’t living to see another day. Marvel’s Cloak And Dagger is no more at Freeform. After the amazing first season the show had, ratings this past season dropped. Freeform did release a statement about this saying:

“We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told. We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. We’d like to thank our partners at Marvel Television for a wonderful two seasons and are we are hopeful that we can find another project together.”

This just seems like another nail in the coffin for Marvel Television. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D is ending after next season. The entire catalog of Netflix shows from Marvel have been cancelled. Hulu’s Ghost Rider series was canceled months after it was announced. And Marvel’s New Warriors has failed to find a home for itself.

Showrunner for Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, Joe Pokaski and Actress Olivia Holt both took to social media and posted about the show’s cancellation:

Hopefully, something good can happen soon for Marvel Television and Cloak and Dagger.
