When the cast of Castlevania appeared at New York Comic-Con this past October, they did confirm that there will be a third season of the animated series on Netflix. They even showed a clip from the upcoming season. But…. It’s been all crickets ever since. Thus far, we know only that Season 3 is coming, but not when, or how many episodes it will cover. Until then, perhaps this will tide you over: Sideshow Collectibles is offering an amazing 1:5 scale Alucard statue that any die-hard fan would want to add to their collection!

Alucard comes to life in exquisite detail in the latest offering from Sideshow:

Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes™, better known as Alucard, is a character in Konami’s Castlevania series of video games. His first appearance in the series was in the 1989 game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, but he is best known for his role in the critically acclaimed Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, released in 1997.”

Alucard statue a must-have for Castlevania fans…with deep pockets

First, given the success of the animated Netflix series, it may be a stretch to continuing saying that Alucard is best known for a now twenty-three year old video game. Actor James Callis has given the character an emotional depth the video game never could. The statue, likewise, gives the son of Dracula a level of detail neither the games nor the series could ever achieve. From the texture of his leather to the intricacy of his shield, Alucard in 1:5 scale is something to behold.

At nearly twenty inches (48 cm) tall and weighing thirty-seven pounds (almost 17 kg), the Alucard piece is hefty, indeed. So too, unfortunately, is its price tag. Still, if you have $450 to spend, this limited edition piece will make a fine addition to your collection. You can order it HERE.
