As it turns out, Crunchyroll‘s mascot, Crunchyroll-Hime, will soon be celebrating her 116th birthday. Yes, you read that right. Not her sweet 16, but her sweet 116. How? Don’t know. All I know is that she and Crunchyroll are celebrating the occasion with a streaming event.
A Very Special Sweet 116
Crunchyroll-Hime is happy to announce that she’ll soon celebrate her 116th birthday (somehow) with a livestream on YouTube. This will be a “sixth-hour” birthday bash featuring “special guests, party games, sweet surprises and so much more”.
“I’m so excited to celebrate my birthday with all my friends! It’ll be my longest celebration yet, so you wouldn’t want to miss it—we’re having games, fun, special guests, and maybe a donut-shaped surprise…I can’t wait to see you all there!”

Crunchyroll-Hime’s sweet 116 birthday livestream will take place on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM PST – 6:00 PM PST. You can catch it only on her official YouTube channel. Fortunately, that’s still free, so you don’t have to worry about a paywall to celebrate Crunchyroll-Hime’s birthday with her. Unlike what Crunchyroll is becoming in recent times, but that’s a complaint that’s neither here nor there for now.

Crunchyroll-Hime’s sweet 116 birthday party isn’t going to be a private event. Apparently, she has invited a whole bunch of guests to celebrate her birthday with her. The lists of guests include popular streamers and creators from such companies as Rooster Teeth, fellow VTubers, and more. The full list of guests attending the virtual party consists of:
- Creators / streamers DefinedByKy and BlackKrystel, who are regularly seen on Rooster Teeth’s Achievement Hunter
- NIJISANJI EN VTubers Pomu Rainpuff, Selen Tatsuki, and Luca Kaneshiro from Luxiem, NIJISANJI EN’s first male musical VTuber group
- Gaming and anime creator Atsu / AsianGuyStream
- Comedy and animation creator CypherDen
Finally, fans can join in on the celebrations too by dropping in questions during the livestream. Fans can also submit questions using #HimeLive on Twitter, and can #DrawHime for special shout-outs during the livestream. Considering that Crunchyroll-Hime has amassed over 110,000 followers since her VTube debut back in October 2021, you might want to step up your game art-wise if you want that special shout-out.
