HBO Max is bringing the Doom Patrol back! The first-look teaser trailer for season 3 of the upcoming DC show looks fantastic! The first three episodes of the season debut on HBO Max Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 with subsequent episodes airing each Thursday through November 11th!
If you’re not familiar with Doom Patrol, here’s a refresher:
DOOM PATROL reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of Super Heroes: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Cyborg aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), all led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them.
Following the events of season two, the third season picks off with The Doom Patrol struggling with their identity. It’s more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives with a mission, but also a case of amnesia. It’s one of HBO Max and DC’s most fun shows out there, so get ready for season three by watching the first two seasons on HBO Max!
