Pixar is preparing to take you on a trip to Element City this summer. In other words, we’re only a couple weeks away from the official premiere of Elemental!
The original animated feature introduces Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story follows Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
So to get a glimpse of Element City ahead of the release of Elemental, check out the new behind-the-scenes clip below.
The “Welcome to Element City” clip offers up insight from director Peter Sohn, as well as the film’s leading voice actors Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Catherine O’Hara.
In addition to the behind-the-scenes clip, Disney Pixar also shared new posters for the movie today. Check them out below:
The voice cast also includes Ronnie del Carmen as Ember’s soon-to-be retired dad, Bernie; Shila Ommi as Ember’s love-seeking mom, Cinder; and Joe Pera as an overgrown city bureaucrat, Fern.
Elemental premieres in theaters June 16.
