Today might be April Fools Day, but Don Mancini ain’t fooling around. SyFy is bringing Chucky to the small screen later this year, and we’ve got some new details about the show. The Chucky series and SyFy are celebrating with a Child’s Play marathon all day today. In addition to that marathon, Mancini added a new video showing off the title of the first episode, “Death By Misadventure“. Manini wrote and is directing the first episode of the series on SyFy. Here’s the official synopsis of the series.
After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
The cast for the upcoming show includes: Brad Dourif as Chucky, Fiona Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, and Devon Sawa.
