Get ready for the return of Pinhead. Hulu’s upcoming reimagining of Hellraiser is on its way.
The new take on the 1987 horror classic will officially debut on the streaming platform October 7.
In addition to the official premiere date, Hulu also dropped a teaser for the film. Check it out below.
The original Hellraiser film came from writer/director Clive Barker, based on his novella The Hellbound Heart. The movie launched a huge horror franchise, spanning nine sequels.
Hulu’s reimagining comes from director David Bruckner (The Night House). It follows a young woman struggling with addiction who comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.
The film stars Jamie Clayton, Odessa A’zion, Brandon Flynn, Goran Visnjic, Drew Starkey, Adam Faison, Aoife Hinds, and Hiam Abbass. Hellraiser comes from an original story by David S. Goyer and a screenplay by Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski.
The film will premiere exclusively on Hulu as part of the platform’s annual “Huluween” content block.
