Presence has certainly struck a chord with audiences as it has a unique take on a ghost story. Directed by Steven Soderbergh the entire NEON movie unfolds from the perspective of a spirit that haunts a home where a family going through a traumatic moment is moving in.

A film like Presence will require a unique sound. This is where composer Zack Ryan comes in. Before the film’s release, I took a few minutes to talk with him about the daunting task of composing the score. In our conversation, Ryan talks about how he embraces the challenge and enjoys working on projects with different themes and sounds. He also share with us how he keeps an ear out for unique sounds that he may use in future projects. It was a great conversation that you can check out below!
