Earlier this month at Cinemacon it was revealed by Sony Pictures that a new Ghostbusters project is in the works. The project code-named ‘Firehouse‘ was then teased on Ghostbuster day. All that was revealed about the project is that the story would begin back in Manhattan. Well, today Sony Pictures has announced that the next Ghostbusters movie will be heading our way in December of 2023! Of course, this is great news for fans of the recent Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie, it definitely gives us all something to look forward to.
It only makes sense to have a sequel after the success that Ghostbusters: Afterlife had. Starring Paul Rudd (Gary Grooberson), Carrie Coon (Callie), Mckenna Grace (Phoebe), Finn Wolfhard (Trevor), and a few old Ghostbusters you might remember; Ghostbusters: Afterlife brought in a worldwide gross of over 204 million.
