Welcome to CinemaCon 2023! The convention you’ve never heard of until now and that you won’t get to watch anything shown off at it. Today, we’ve got Lionsgate! They’ve already had hits like John Wick: Chapter 4 and Sisu this year, but they’ll surely show off from their John Wick spinoffs and other films.
We’ll be updating this as the panel goes on.
They started off with The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes. It’s said that it fits into The Hunger Games universe in the same way that Wicked fits into The Wizard of Oz.
They also showed off a new poster for the film.
They showed off a trailer for the film as well, that you can watch below!
Outside of The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes, Lionsgate did not bring any footage of the rest of their 2023 slate. They’re devoting a majority of the time given for their panel for a screening of their upcoming film Joy Ride.
So there won’t be any new footage for Saw X, The Expendables 4, or any of their other films coming in 2023.
