When we think “survival story,” we usually imagine desert islands, remote mountains, an endless forest… Essentially, survival when put up against everything Mother Nature can throw at us. We don’t usually see a survival story where someone finds themselves trapped in a New York penthouse. But Inside is about to change that.
The new film from Focus Features stars Willem Dafoe as Nemo, an art thief. But this particular heist doesn’t go as planned. When Nemo finds himself locked inside the penthouse, he must use all his cunning and invention to survive.

Based on the trailer, the psychological thriller looks to test our idea of what a survival story can be. And as isolation (and hunger, and heat…) slowly push Nemo to the edge, there’s no one better than Dafoe to pull off that harrowing descent into madness. (Just look to his recent performances in The Northman, Nightmare Alley, and The Lighthouse.)
Inside comes from writer Ben Hopkins and director Vasilis Katsoupis. The film’s executive producers include Katsoupis, Jim Stark, Konstantinos Kontovrakis, Charles E. Breitkreuz, Martin Lehwald, Jean-Claude, Van Rijckeghem, and Stephen Kelliher.
In addition to the trailer, the Focus Features also dropped some unique posters for the film.
