It’s been a little while since the Predator has been on our screens. Now, thanks to Hulu, Prey brings the iconic movie monster back. The new action-thriller directed by Dan Trachtenberg streams exclusively on Hulu this August 5th, 2022.
Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
It was written by Patrick Alison. The filmmakers set out to depict the Comanche in the most realistic way possible. Through producer Jhane Myers, they got the attention and dedication to the legacy of the Comanche and Blackfoot nations. The film features a cast comprised of almost entirely Native and First Nation talent including Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope.
