Get ready, Star Wars fans – it’s about to be a big weekend! Not only does Kenobi premiere on Disney+ tomorrow, but we’re getting a ton of updates from Disney and Lucasfilm thanks to the 2022 Star Wars Celebration. Today’s big news? A new look at Andor!
During the Celebration today fans got a first look at the Rogue One prequel series following Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

The Star Wars Celebration panel also revealed Andor will premiere with a two-episode drop. (The same as the plan for Kenobi tomorrow.) The series is also already greenlit for an expanded run; the initial first season will include 12 episodes, followed by a season 2 with another 12 episodes. The second season of the series will enter production this November.
Andor will premiere on Disney+ August 31.
