Darth Maul
[Note: We list Maul here because, let’s face it, his role in Episode I was minor, and limited.] Fans lamented the small role Darth Maul played in The Phantom Menace. Maul was easily the most visually fearsome of the prequel characters. Though “the devil from Dathomir” seemingly met his fate at Obi-Wan Kenobi’s hands, he’d live on. Savage Opress would rescue Maul from exile and madness during the Clone Wars, and together they’d wreak havoc. Maul would eventually rise to lead the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate as we learned in Solo.
Following his time as leader of the criminal underworld, Maul would find his way to Malachor. There he’d meet Ezra Bridger. Their tempestuous relationship as would-be master and apprentice would lead Maul to Tatooine. Finally, he’d have his chance at revenge at Obi-Wan Kenobi. This time, age and a life of rage would take its toll. Fate: Maul would finally perish at Kenobi’s hands.
