Simu Liu is ready to jump into a new action-packed role. The Marvel star will lead the upcoming series adaptation of Seven Wonders at Prime Video.
Based on the novel by Ben Mezrich, the action-adventure series revolves around a brilliant botanist/adventurer, Dr. Nate Grady (Liu). He teams up with slippery international fixer, Sloane Seydoux, on a breathless race to solve an ancient mystery tied to the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.
Beau Flynn, who developed the original book with Mezrich, will produce under his Flynn Picture Company banner (Black Adam, Jungle Cruise). The series comes from writer Adam Cozad (The Legend of Tarzan) and director Justin Lin (Fast and Furious franchise).
Liu previously starred in CBC’s sitcom Kim’s Convenience, and more recently gained widespread fame as the Marvel superhero Shang-Chi. He will next appear in the Mark Wahlberg film Arthur The King.
Seven Wonders is in development at Prime Video. Expect more casting news and release details to come.
