You know how the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 basically sucked in every way possible? Well, now it appears that various retailers are trying to get rid of their stocks of the console versions of the game as fast as possible. And they’re doing this through a massive discount.

Cyberpunk 2077: the definitely worse console versions.
AKA: when box art lie through their cyborg teeth.

Amazon is currently offering the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077 for a grand total of $29.99. Best Buy is also offering the same deal. Note that this deal only counts for physical copies of the game. Digital versions are still at their full price of $59.99.

Buy Cyberpunk 2077 For the Art, Not the Game

Some rather nice steelbook cases for Cyberpunk 2077.
Original and shiny art worth the game? You be the judge here.

Another thing to consider is that the versions of Cyberpunk 2077 Best Buy are selling comes with a free steelbook case. Said cases feature original art from the game made specifically for it, all printed on a durable steel case that ensures that nothing can damage the game but CD Projekt Red themselves. According to Best Buy, the steelbook cases are valued at $19.99 each, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth here.

So if you’re a collector, you might want to consider getting the ones Best Buy are selling. Even if you have a very, very low opinion of Cyberpunk 2077 on the consoles after hearing about all the problems with it. Trust me, at this point, you’re getting this version for the steelbook case more than for the game itself.

Conclusion

Retailers like Amazon and Best Buy are trying to get rid of their physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and Xbox One as fast as they can. It’s getting to the point where they’re selling them at half-price. Best Buy is even throwing in free steelbook cases to go with the game. I guess even if you don’t care for the game itself, at least you can console yourself with a shiny and chrome box for it.
