In another move of WWE locking up all the free agent women in the wrestling business, former Women’s Champion, Melina is making her long-awaited return to the company. PWInsider is reporting that Melina is making her return on RAW and could be back by next week. Melina was working on the independent scene of late and made some appearances on NWA POWERRR recently. Both sides have been talking about a reuinion since her appearance on the Raw Reunion show last year. She was rumored to be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble this year, but that never materialized.

Her WWE career started all the way back in 2004 when she was in the developmental system. She was the manager for MNM, which was Joey Mercury and John Morrison’s fabled tag-team. Her first run in WWE ended in 2011 after some backstage heat and her contract running out. It’ll be exciting to see who she works with on her return. There are plenty of options for the company right now. The WWE Women’s roster is probably the most stacked in all of wrestling right now.

Putting her on RAW could mean that she sets her sights on Asuka and the Raw Women’s Title, but that seems like a bit of a stretch for a first feud. I’d like to see a sort of past vs. present match with her and Zelina Vega. They both are great workers and talkers, and they share similar styles to their gimmicks. We’ll have to see when RAW comes around on Monday night though.
